Occurrence of copyright, moral rights, and neighboring rights

Outline of the occurrence of the rights of the author

Copyright, moral rights, and neighboring rights occur when a work is created.

No procedure is required to obtain the right.

For example, in the case of a literary work, the copyright, moral rights, and neighboring rights of the photographic work are granted to the literary work at the time the photo is taken.

Copyright registration system

There is a copyright registration system to publicize the legal facts related to copyright, or to ensure the security of transactions when the copyright is transferred.

Please note that the copyright registration system does not protect inventions or designs.

In some cases, the novelty of an invention or design is lost.

An invention is protected only by filing a patent application and registering the patent right.

A design is protected only by filing an application for design registration and registering the design right.
